History
Voltan Industria Mobili was founded in 1969 by the passion of Luigi Voltan, who had learnt the secrets of the wood art from able carpenters. The current headquarter is still located in Legnaro, in the countryside of Padua, where values such as dedication, inventiveness and can-do-spirit still drive daily activities. Luigi has always admired the tool versatility, the grains of the freshly cut timber, the furniture manufacturing process and the wood perfume. He liked to “get his hands dirty” and he was surprised when small artwork items took shape under his hands, for example furniture decorations.

Initially, the company was a mere handicraft workshop, but it soon became one of the main furniture factories in the province of Padua.
In the ‘70s, in addition to furniture decorations, Luigi Voltan started producing caravan and camper furnishings.
The success of the first bedroom - produced in 1975 - led him to manufacture new products and to improve wood processing, using raw materials such as cherry wood, walnut, oak, as well as briar-root and wood parchments.
Five years later, Voltan Industrie Mobili was a well-established company. Each manufacturing stage (veneering, squaring, beading, drilling, etc.) is carried out internally in the Legnaro plants, which occupy 5000 square metres.
In the ‘90s, Andrea, Paolo and Marco - Luigi’s sons - gradually took up the reins of the company, thus showing renewed momentum.
